Averie's 5th Birthday Party

Averie is 5! What!!!! No way I am the parent to a 5 year old. Where, or what happened to 2-4? I must have blinked.

This year we planned a Pancake and Pajama Birthday Party! It was so much fun! Averie of course loved it. Why wouldn't she, breakfast is her favorite meal of the day.

A little bit about Averie:
Age: 5 Years old
Favorite game: Simon Says
Favorite Cartoon: Doc McStuffins
Favorite Food: Are popsicles a food?
Bedtime: 7-7:30ish
Grade: Soon to be a Kindergartener
Favorite Toy: All her baby dolls. She tries to feed them real food. Oh goodness.
Favorite color: I think it is Pink. She favors that color when we draw.
Favorite Song: Kum Bah Yah
Favorite song to dance to: Taylor Swift, Shake it Off
Favorite art activity: Play Dough. Oh how I despise play dough.
Things she is doing independently: She goes potty, (almost potty trained, almost), likes to take of her clothes to get into the bath. Likes to start the bath without an adult. Helps herself to snacks and drinks in the fridge. Loves watching Mommy do puzzles and then destroy them when she is done.

Miss Averie, you are the light to my life, and my reason for living. You have brought more joy and happiness than you will ever know. I will love you forever and like you for always. As long as I am living my baby you'll be.

Love Mommy

I LOVE RUNNING

Getting my groove back. So with the new job came a fully loaded in house gym that only costs me 15 bucks a month. What is my excuse now right. So over the last 6 months, I have been trying to figure out a good routine for myself. I am committing to 2 days a week in the morning, and 2 days a week in the afternoon, alternating days of course. I am not trying to faint at work people!

This past two weeks, I have eased into that. Here are a couple of my runs so far. I have to stick with it and all will be good. Running is such a great way for me to burn off steam, and stress. Lord knows I have enough of it to burn.

Once I get into a consistent routine I will start signing up for races again. I would love to be able to run a half marathon by the end of the year. Seems ambitious I know, but I think I can do it. Actually I know I can.

I could use some new cute workout gear to help motivate me. I think I have said in the past that new gear always seems to help. Shopping addiction, no way! Me?!

Well we are moving this weekend so that will be my workout, then next week more running! I am looking forward to it.

Breathe

I guess I will start yet another return to blogging. There seems to be a trend with me, when things get rough I become absent. Sparing everyone of the head spinning details, here is the current state of our life.

You may choose not to believe that all this is going on, but it is. I often think......

I can't tell if it is killing me, or it's making me stronger.

And off we go......

Moved last August, signed a six month lease. Six months is up this month and we are moving again. Averie turned five so Kindergarten here we come. Kindergarten enrollment is a little more complicated when you have a child with special needs, but boy is it rewarding when they walk in that first day. Anessa is home. Long story. She is working 2 jobs and going to school (kind of).  My prediction is she will be over school come the end of summer. The taste of money is sweet. Brian is done with the cars. We are betting the house on our new endeavor. So far so good, its just a matter of time before we get all our ducks in a row. Grammy is retiring from being Averie's practically full time caretaker. At almost 71 years of age. I think she deserves a little me time. Averie will be in school almost full time and we found a great daycare for her if it comes to that. The new home we are moving into was chosen based on the schools in the area, had to make sure my little monster was taken care of. I think that puts us up to speed. Oh wait, and I have a new job. Yeah lets throw that in there, as if you all weren't thinking I was crazy already. Now I will BREATHE!

A lot of different parts of our life have been put on hold, just until we become reacquainted with our new financial situation.

I am contemplating making this a long post, but my attention span is narrowing. I have so much to share. I guess I will end here with a beautiful picture of my little girl. I can't wait to share her 5th birthday party pictures. Family makes life worth living that is the truth.
