Best Day so Far in 2013!

Amber in back in California. YAY! I took Thursday off so that me and her could spend it together. My plan was to pick her up bright and early, and head to San Francisco. We got to San Francisco at about 10:30am, the first stop was the Ferry Building. I did a little research and found that on Thursday's they have a farmers market outside. Who doesn't like a Farmer's Market. So we drove around trying to find parking, and leave it to us to make that an adventure. The first place that we attempted to park had very little parking spots, and for some reason I chose the one that was at a strange diagonal. Then once we got settled into our parking spot we walked over to the kiosk o pay. $25.00 for the day. What! Hell NO! Amber walked over to a back alley behind the parking lot and saw that there was metered parking there too, but by hour. I hoped back in my car and out of my perfect parking job, and headed that direction. $12.00 for 4 hours. Much more our speed for sure. We were set, and headed over to the Ferry Building for a little exploring. The Market was pretty cool, a little small. The Ferry Marketplace was awesome though. They had so many specialty items, it all looked so yummy.

My plan was to later head to Golden Gate park for a little picnic. So while we were around all this good food. We decided to get our sandwiches and snacks for later. The views off the pier were amazing, and the weather was near perfect. This day is going to be amaze-balls (Amber will know this reference).

After all of the walking in the Ferry Building we were pretty hungry so we headed to the Lands End section of Golden Gate park and ate our yummy food. The views there were incredible as well.

Can you believe how incredible his day is so far and we are not done. Next after lunch was Coit Tower. I had never been, and even though Amber had she was a trooper going again. We  went all the way to the top. The views were pretty neat.

After Coit Tower, we decided to head back to Vacaville. We went to the Outlets and did a little bit of shopping. I was in the market for a new purse and wallet, and the Coach outlet is a great place to fix that problem. We checked out a few places including Coach, but nothing caught my eye. (hint, hint, Mother's Day). I did buy one shirt, and Amber bought a couple of things. Then I had to take her home. Sad face. I was dreading taking her home, because I really enjoy having her around, and I know it is going to be months before I see her again. I am going to try an see if she has any other free time on Sunday that way I can make sure I get all I need of her before she leaves to go back home.

On top, of the Fabulous day that I spent with Amber. Sheldon beat St. Francis, thanks to Nessa. She hit a 2 run homer in the 7th to ignite the rest of the team for the win. Good for her. I am so impressed with the season she is having. She is killing it. On the way home I had to pick up little Miss Averie. I could not wait to see her. It was funny, everywhere we went in San Francisco we were surrounded by pregnant women. Hmm..... Coincidence? I think not.

Well, we are now at the weekend. Tomorrow we are going to San Jose to watch some softball, and then home, and hopefully Sunday I can spend a little more time with the Bestie. Another great weekend ahead of me. Oh shizzle this month is off the hook already. Deep breath, and here we go.

All good days ahead....

It is raining here today, have I mentioned that I love the rain. Love it! I just hope that it stops by 7pm so I can go on my run, and use my cool new app. I am thinking that I might just go running in the rain. We will see I guess. My best friend Amber is coming down in May to visit, and I tried to talk her into doing a race with me. But the booger would rather relax on her vacation. Can't blame her I guess. I would want to relax as well. Maybe I am psycho for thinking that running is so much fun. I look forward to the days where I can RUN!

Me and her text a lot. I mean A LOT, A LOT. Yesterday she text me a picture of her work out. Tuesday was my day off from exercise. I needed to give the ole shins and calves some time to recoup. She likes to run too, but mixes in a little Pilate's here and there. Probably a good idea, keeps you nice and limber. She actually turned me onto the 10 minute workout DVD that you see here. It is cool because you can select a bunch of individual 10 minute workouts, up to an hour. So if you only have time to do the buns and thighs, it is only 10 minutes. Super handy for the girl on the go. She is addicted to working out, the gym, running, and Pilates. I am sure there will be more on her workout routine in future posts. I am always interested to see what she is up to, it doesn't matter what it is.

She also sent me a picture of their dinner.

Delish Right?

I told you that we text a lot. She lives in North Carolina, so we try our best to keep in touch, share recipes, text shop (that is exactly what it sounds like), send care packages (these are my fav), and try on outfits. A girl needs to make sure she looks good when she goes to work. She works at the Museum of Natural Sciences, so her job is a little more upscale then mine. I wear jeans daily. Needless to say her outfits are better than mine. *smiles*

Well a rainy day, means that the day is going to be involving a lot of this. Hum dinging around. I am thinking breakfast, then stamps, then some envelope stuffing, then maybe some blog stalking, oh and then maybe a little of my actual job. To think I have to train again today. I am not prepared at all.

Oh and the stew I made in the crock pot came out great, well that is what the family said. Like I said before, I cook for them mostly. I had a bowl of pasta, with butter, Parmesan, and salt. This is my favorite meal ever. This is what I ate yesterday, minus a dark chocolate hershey bar, and a glass of milk. I can see pretty clearly right now, and know that there are only good days ahead.

The blurry one is Pirates Booty. Yummo!

My body is adjusting to my new found love, running. I have noticed that my shins and calves are sore. I have also noticed that I am hungry more often. I think it would be safe to say that my body is slowly starting to adjust. Any idea how long this adjustment period might take? My body feels a little off. I have also noticed that at night I am not tired. I am pretty restless. I am not a huge advocate for taking meds to sleep better, but I did find some chewable Melatonin at Trader Joe's that I am going to try. I need something to calm this over active brain  of mine down.

Next on the LIST!

There will be no week in insta-pics. I know I am sorry. I have been so busy that the picture taking in my house has been non existent.

The car sold! Thank goodness. Brian and I are so relieved. I was really nervous. What would we have done. I guess now we don't have to think about that. Moving on right.

Next on the LIST. Continue to get completely moved out of our current house into the new one. I feel like I have been working non-stop to pack but there is still so much. As I predicted I am packing all by myself. Anessa did her room and bathroom. But otherwise it is all me. Brian is taking care of his garage. But I would have never volunteered for that anyways. He has been working hard too don't get me wrong. He is trucking load after load from one house to another. Thank goodness we are only moving down the road. When he drops off the load, the routine has been that I unpack it.

Grammy is back from her vacation. YAY!!!! Man are we happy to have her back. It is such a relief to know that Averie will be PROPERLY watched. She keeps her super active during the week. We have noticed that because of the lack of activity she is wanting to go to bed later. Like last night, 10 o'clock. I was miserable.

So.....where too now. Moving, packing, repeat. I guess that is the only plan. Oh that's not true. To add insult to injury, I suggested that we invite our families over for Labor Day to BBQ. I know I am a masochist. They have done so much for us and since it is a three day weekend. I wanted to thank them all for all their help before Softball season started and we have no weekends. Ugh Softball. Is it that time already. I have got to get it together.

In closing. It is my Best Friend and her Husbands ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY. I love them both and hope that they have a great trip. He has made her more adventurous, and that makes for some great pictures and stories.{side note; technically it is not their anniversary until Monday, but who knows how busy I will be this weekend.}

Memory Lane

Oh the memories.....

I thought that we would take a little journey. A journey down memory lane. These are pictures of some of my best memories. Things I want to do again they were so much fun the first time around. It's a lot so I will break it down.
