Happy Mommy BOX, and Thred UP

I think I have an addiction to boxes. In the past two years I have received many types of boxes. Birchbox, Blumm box, Happy Mommy Box, Hello Fresh box, Graze box, Stitchfix and Ipsy. Well Ipsy isn't a box but it is similar to the Birchbox boxes.  I think I might have a bit of a problem. I only receive a couple of these now. Could you imagine if I received them all still. It would be Christmas everyday at my house. I occasionally get a Stitchfix box. Maybe once every three months. Hello Fresh I bought through Zulily and so that maybe a one time thing, we will see. Graze I receive every month. There is a catch with this one though. I give the graze boxes to Grammy. They are healthy and fun to get. Happy Mommy boxes are also on occasion. It is mostly when I am feeling a shopping itch that I sign up to get one of those. I did send one to my Best Friend for Mother's Day. It sounds like she loved it. At the same time that I made one for her I also bought myself a little Mother's Day present.

I know it doesn't go with the shirt, but I only had a few minutes to myself before Averie woke up from her nap. So I snapped something fast. I was so excited to get it. Now if I am being honest It was not quite the quality that I was expecting. At the same time I am not sure what I expected at the great price of 11.99. It looks good on, so I will try it out with a couple of other shirts and see what the family thinks. If they say it looks cheap then it's gotta go.

I also received my Thred UP bag the same day. It is all about Tricia this long weekend. Excuse my appearance. I was up all night and day with Averie. The poor booger has some nasty stomach bug.

The top three tops are all Ann Taylor Loft. My favorite store EVER! Thanks to Amber of course. The white one is J Crew. I ordered a Thred Up bag and sent in a bunch of stuff I never wear. There were probably 7 or 8 things in the bag. They paid me 52 bucks for all of it. Considering that I would have taken most of it to Goodwill where I would get nothing, 52 bucks was great. I used that credit to buy these tops. It is a great way to rotate clothing that you get tired of. After I tried everything on I washed it and hung it up. Can't wait to wear them, especially since the weather is getting warmer. The only problem with Thred UP is now I am addicted. I ordered another bag and just sent off a bunch more clothing. Just waiting to see what they take this time. I did sign up to get the rejected clothing back which was a fee of 12.95. Not bad considering.

Well until my next shopping habit strikes. See ya later.

Busy Friday!

Good Morning, and it's Friday.

What that means for me is... I get off early today, it's my short day of the week. 7:30am-4:00pm instead of 7:00am to 4:30pm. Hey I know it's only an hour but that is something on a Friday. I will take it. The weekend is just a hop, skip, and a jump away. It's going to be another crazy cleaning weekend. I have to try out my new The Honest Company products. There are a couple of trips coming up soon, so I have some serious preparing to do. It is going to be busy, busy.

Update on my Food Journal. Yeah, um I totally forgot yesterday to take pictures of most of the things I ate and drank. I knew that some days I would just flat out forget. Here is the run down, very quickly.

Breakfast: Coffee, DUH!

Lunch:  Marie Calendar's Chicken pot pie, sparkling water, and some dried apple chips.

Dinner: Grilled cheese on wheat, and a glass of wine. Which I probably should not have had. I have been feeling a little under the weather lately. I might have been better off trading the wine for some juice. I did take some EmergenC. Fingers crossed that it does it job.

Late night: I had a snack of frozen blueberries and a tonic. Strange combo, but that is what I was in the mood for. Late nights make me crave weird things.

I will do better today is what I am telling myself. I am doing this for my own well being. This is my mantra for the next couple of weeks until I get used to taking pictures all the time.

Moving on. I am putting a lot into this post, cause yesterday I noticed that I posted 3 times, maybe it's a good idea to try and condense those into one long post. I am not sure. I am just flying by the set of my pants here. Suggestions?

I have been shopping a lot lately, and I just have to say that I need to get some control of this. Look at what I bought, too cute to pass up right. I got this tee at TomKatStudio.com. Use code Lucky20 to get 20 % off. The perfect St. Patty's day shirt, and since I will be traveling this will prevent anyone at the airport from pinching me. EEK!

I also bought a bunch of stuff from GAP.com. I know that they don't need any endorsing but I am obsessed with the Factory store online. I mean whoever came up with that is genius. I am taking all of this with me to North Carolina. Plus a couple of other items that Stitch Fix sent me. I get to dress like a normal person for seven whole days. I might be lying a little. There are a lot of yoga pants in my future too.

Gap

As you can see I have done some damage, and well there is more to be done. Once I get to NC I am sure that some serious shopping will commence. What am I looking for when I am there? Well that is a great question. I am desperate for some sunglasses and jeans. Come to find out I am really picky about my jeans. The jeans that I have now from Old Navy are great but they fade at the knees. Why you ask? I have no clue. I bought a couple pairs of jeans from the Limited and they are just a tad bit big for me. So onward to seek out a proper fitting pair of jeans that are the perfect color. Amber and I will be on a mission.

The plan for this evening is to not shop.*smiles* I need to pick Averie up from daycare, grab a pizza for dinner, clean up a bit when I get home. You know, make the bed, empty the dishwasher, and straighten the living room. Then onto some laundry and playing with Averie until Dad gets home. Should be a pretty relaxing evening. I am ready for the weekend y'all. It has taken too many days to get here.

Look good and feelin good!

This is a phrase that my Step-daughter Anessa says all the time, and I agree. Shocking I know. Something must have come over me! I started off the week calling in sick on Monday. Not because I was not in the mood to go to work, but because Averie had a long night, and was throwing up. I have no clue what came over the family. We all felt pretty terrible. Everyone is feeling fine today so maybe it was just a little 24 hour bug. Needless to say that I had a 4 day weekend. Today I came back feeling great. Looking pretty good too. I am trying to become a little more fashionable. My best friend Amber is great at putting things together so I am taking my cues from her. Here is what I managed to put together today. Oh I got my second Stitch Fix but it is not worth blogging about. I was not impressed. I kept a pair of earrings so that I would not lose my $20 styling fee. The earrings were 28 bucks after all was said and done. I am going to hold off on the Stitch Fixes for a few. I have lots of clothes that I can wear in the mean time.

The plan today is to RUN, eat well, and watch a little softball. I think that Averie and I will take the wagon to the field. It is a little bit of a walk but it is great exercise. I am really excited for this week. It is going to be busy, but a lot of fun.
